How many records can I clean with one bottle of solution?
Approximately 50-60 records per 4oz bottle when used as directed (4-5 sprays per side).
Is the brush safe for colored and picture disc vinyl?
Yes. The bristles are identical to what we use on black 180g audiophile vinyl. The material makes no difference to cleaning safety.
Can I use this on 78rpm shellac records?
No. Shellac records require a completely different cleaning approach. This kit is designed exclusively for vinyl (33⅓ and 45 RPM). Do not use the enzyme solution on shellac.
How often should I deep clean vs quick brush?
Use the carbon fiber brush before every play (10 seconds). Do a full wet clean with the enzyme solution every 20-30 plays, or whenever you notice increased surface noise.
Does the cleaning solution have a smell?
The enzyme solution has a very mild, neutral scent that dissipates within seconds of application. It contains no added fragrances or harsh chemicals. If you are sensitive to smells, use in a well-ventilated area—the scent is comparable to unscented dish soap.
